2025 Fall Grant Recipients

Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders:

The Impact of YAL Fall Grant Funding

Investing in 4-H youth development is an investment in the future of agriculture, innovation, and community leadership. As we navigate the 2025–2026 4-H season, targeted funding remains the cornerstone of hands-on learning experiences that equip young people with essential life skills.

In 2025, the Youth Ag & Leadership Foundation granted $13,000 in funding across 13 Sonoma County 4-H clubs for the 2025-26 4-H year.

These strategic grants allowed 4-H members to design, manage, and execute projects aimed at self-improvement, agricultural education, and community development. By putting resources directly into the hands of youth, this funding:

  • Fostered Practical Skills: Members gained real-world experience in financial literacy, project management, and STEM/agricultural sciences.

  • Built Leadership Resilience: Driving their own projects allowed youth to develop problem-solving abilities and public speaking confidence.

  • Strengthened Communities: The funded projects directly addressed local needs, reinforcing the 4-H pledge of service to "my club, my community, my country, and my world."

Every dollar invested in 4-H projects provides young people with the ultimate laboratory for growth: a place where they can learn by doing, fail safely, and emerge as the capable leaders our workforce and communities desperately need. We thank all of our donors and supporters of our foundation that allow us to give back in such a rewarding way!
